First Image From Universal's '2 Guns'
I'm not sure how I missed that Universal was adapting Steven Grant's pulp comic '2 Guns' into a film, but I am excited. The film will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur ('Contraband') and stars Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington. The story revolves around a pair of federal agents working in conjunction to recover millions from a Mexican cartel. The catch? Neither one knows that the other is an undercover agent. The first still from the movie has just landed online. Not a lot to it, but one gets the impression that an armed and angry Wahlberg and Washington means plenty of hurtin' is in some poor fool's future. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

This seems like it's going to end up like Wanted and RED, a movie that is so loosely based on the orginal work it might as well be called something other that the comic title.
I hope it turns out well, but it's a pain for myself as comicbook fan to enjoy comic adaptions that change around the original material too much.

I hope for Denzel this is good.....yes he got rave reviews in Flight...but besides that...his last couple of films were mediocre or down right terrible...Pelium 123 (D), Book of Eli(C+), Unstoppable(C-), Safe House (D+),...Flight(A-)...I think Denzel is still on the top of his game as an actor..I imagine he could green light just about anything he wanted...and he has chosen some pretty mediocre scripts...outside of Flight IMO.
