First Full Trailer For 'Oz The Great And Powerful'
After much ado about the still art and set photos, the first official trailer for Sam Raimi's 'Oz The Great and Powerful' has arrived. I like how the trailer starts blocked and in black and white before hitting the colorful world of OZ and expanding wide. That's a nice callback to 'The Wizard of Oz.' It looks beautiful, I just hope all the fantastical elements don't overwhelm the story. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Excited as hell for it. Love me some Sam Raimi, and it looks like a fantastic film besides maybe a little too much CG.
I also love how they flaunted "FROM THE DIRECTOR OF THE SPIDER-MAN TRILOGY", it almost seemed cocky to me. Loved it.
I'm also seeing more in this trailer of why they chose Raimi for director. I diggit.
Wizard of OZ was my first movie in the theatre, big part of the reason I love movies.

@Ice King well, Burton is producing it so they might wanna tie it into that version somehow but, hopefully this will be better.
I'm liking some of the concepts on show here (the little ceramic girl seems like an interesting idea for a character) and I like the basic concept of exploring how Oz became the head honcho in the Emerald City, which is odd as i normally hate prequels...

As a big fan of the OZ books, this film looks very promising. My only complaints with this trailer are the cheap 3D gags. But other than that, it looks great :D
