First Full Trailer For 'Oz The Great And Powerful'
After much ado about the still art and set photos, the first official trailer for Sam Raimi's 'Oz The Great and Powerful' has arrived. I like how the trailer starts blocked and in black and white before hitting the colorful world of OZ and expanding wide. That's a nice callback to 'The Wizard of Oz.' It looks beautiful, I just hope all the fantastical elements don't overwhelm the story. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

i cant wait. one of the first movies i ever watched was the wizard of oz and return to oz, and i was hooked on the Japanese animated chronicles which lasted over 100 episodes and dove into most of the books of oz. if this is a success i hope they remake both of the prior mentioned live action movies. if anything return to oz deserves a good remake as the Nome king needs his screen time. I love the way that "Fables" draws the Nome King and the creatures from oz. Also love that mini bonus Oz themed comic that has been ongoing in fables for the past 1-2 years.

Alright, it looks beautiful and entertaining but the story does seem to be the typical 'chosen one must defeat the evil taking over the land' plot line.
