For a while now we've been talking about the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic 'jOBS.' Or I suppose I should say one of the Steve Jobs biopics. 'jOBS' is the version being directed by Joshua Michael Stern ('Swing Vote') and starring Ashton Kutcher. While many of us have felt no small amount of consternation at the idea of Kutcher playing Jobs, the images that leaked from the production gave us at least the small comfort of knowing that the resemblance between the two was fairly uncanny. Now the first clip from Stern's film has landed online. In the clip, Steve tries to inspire his longtime collaborator Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad). I'll admit that I'm impressed with how Kutcher is challenging Jobs' passion, but beyond that the clip is not much to write home about. Take a look at the clip below and let us know what you think.

'jOBS' premieres tomorrow at Sundance and is due in theaters in April

I think the movie has potential. Kutcher is a decent actor who seemed to just fine in the clip. However, there really isnt enough to go on based on a 1 minute clip. I'll wait and hold my opinion for when I actually see the movie.

Still acting like old Ashton Kutcher.  Wow us, man!  Wow us!

I want this movie to be great, I think Ashton is a decent actor and I hope he knocks it out of the park. I also like how the script really puts technology into perspective. definitely interested.

this for me is the reason spill exists. there is enough interest to want to know if it's any good but not enough to just pay my money and see it. if you spill crew like it i will watch it if they hate it i will pass and wait for the sorkin one

@MarkPerver Only problem is that the Kutcher one doesn't have a Sorkin script, unlike Social Network.

Comment by Mark Penver on January 25, 2013 at 2:39am

If it's directed to a similar level to the Social Network, It'll be a good watch no matter who the actors are.

Wouldn't it be funny if Aston had a successful career in movies after Demi.  Most of his stuff has just been crap.

Kutcher did pretty good in this clip. Not sure why people are saying he is bad....OH WAIT!!! It's because it's that Punk'd dude.
