I finally just saw the movie last night, I had a few things to say:

The film overall was not that complicated. After reading some of these negative posts I got the impression that the movie was going to be incomprehensible, but it wasn't. The movie starts out with the murder, goes into flashbacks of all the main characters origins, except Night Owl II, and than goes back to regular time and the plot to stop nuclear destruction. NOT super complicated.

I did have a problem with Dr. Manhattan's dick in so many scenes, i mean he wore the clothing over it in so many scenes early on, why not later? Just a distraction more than a problem with the film.

The script could have been better. Especially in scenes with Silk Spectre and Night Owl II, those were brutal. IDK if it was the actors or just bad direction by Snyder no being able to direct actors...

Rorschach saved this movie, I believe. He felt like the only actor who cared about this movie, and the source material (which I have not read but heard is great). He was awesome in every scene, especially when he was in jail.

I didn't care for the random songs throughout the movie. I really think there could have been some nice scores, especially in the funeral scene, the sex scene, and the comedians death. More score, less songs.

The direction was visually amazing. Most shots i wish lasted longer cause the visuals were awesome.

NOT ENOUGH character development for Night Owl II or Ozymendious. He basically spends the entire movie sitting at home watching t.v. By the end of the movie, I didn't connect emotionally with him, or Ozymendius cause they both had such little development. Dr. Manhattan had just enough development and back story to show how his character had become isolated from humanity. Why not Nite Owl II?

Still not a bad film, worth seeing in the theatre for the visuals and the sound editing. 8/10
