Finally, a spoof about dance movies and it shall be called: DANCE FLICK!

You knew it was coming eventually: that they would make a spoof about the plethora of dance movies that have come out the past several years. Thankfully, this new one called Dance Flick isn't written by those two fuck-tards behind Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and all those other dumbass "movie" spoofs. It is written by the Wayans (and dear God just look at the trailer credits, I swear they have the whole damn family involved in the movie!)

The main film they spoof is Save the Last Dance, which is a tad odd seeing as though that film came out like eight years ago! Anywho, it follows the story of a young girl who stopped dancing after her mom died and has to move to the "rough neighborhood" with her father. There she goes to this performing arts academy, makes friends with the local "coloreds" and rediscovers her love for dancing. Oh, and she falls in love with this film's Mandingo who also shares her passion for dancing. He decides to help her get into Juilliard. Now, if those two idiots that wrote the other spoof movies wrote this one, it would seem dumb, but the trailer for this one looks mildly amusing.

The Wayans are getting back to what they do best: making the topic of race funny. They did it with White Girls and so many other films in the past. What's funnier than trying to teach an uppity white girl hip hop and having her fall in love with a black dude that doesn't want the "sistas" to know he's skiing in the Rockies? Does all of this sound familiar? From the looks of the trailer, they will also be spoofing Step Up, You Got Served, and a myriad of other stupid as hell dance movies. I will be reserving judgement on this spoof. If it turns out as stupid as previous spoofs done by the Wayans' former partners, then this genre is TRULY dead!

I laughed at the scene where the woman is dancing around knocking people out, but it's mostly stupid, like that naked CG baby, ugh.
Looks on par with SuperHero Movie or Sports Movie/Comebacks, and way better than Disaster movie and the likes.
Scary Movie 1 was genius though, I hope they make another one as good as that.

The only part that was funny in this trailer was about the black girls passing by- other than that this looks like any other shitty spoof from the past.

No racial stereotypes in that trailer at ALL. Still, it can't be worse than Disaster Movie.

Some parts of this were funny but for the most part this looks like something that those guys (i dare not speak their names, cause that gives them too much credit) have been making, we'll see how the reviews are for this but right now, i'm not impressed.

When I saw the poster for this movie I was completly prepared to hate it without even bothering to watch it. But now that I've seen the trailer for it I have to say it looks far less terrible than any of the "movie" movies. But still I probably wont watch it.
