As always, the movie starts off with a scene where someone has a vision of a disaster (this time a bridge collapses), freaks out, and ends up saving a lucky few just in time. And then right away, death starts to kill them off one by one. That has been the basic premise for the whole series including this one. But this movie adds a new twist to the series that I'm sure the fans (including me) will enjoy: by killing someone, that target can inherit the victim's life. I thought it was a pretty fresh thing they added to the franchise. Another thing the creators thankfully did was when it was a person's turn to die, they kept the audience wondering how they were going to die. Several times I was almost certain how the person was going to die, and then right away that person died in a completely different way. Another thing that the die-hard fans will really enjoy is the ending. I won't ruin it for you, but if you've seen the earlier ones, you'll appreciate the ending to this one.
Moving on, while the movie works as a horror/thriller, it also works as a dark humor. Several times I found my self laughing, and I'm pretty sure the creators intended this comedic effect. And added comedic effects is what made me enjoy this movie even more.
Overall, this movie is a HUGE step up from the last few Final Destinations, going at an almost higher rank than the first one.
On a personal level this movie gets a FULL PRICE
