If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Part of the yearly festivities at Fantastic Fest are The Fantastic Debates, one part philosophical discussion and one part knock-down drag-out brawl. Two combatants enter and intellectually debate the pros and cons of their topic. Then, they enter the ring and try to bash their opponent senseless. It's a thing of beauty. Last year, festival founder Tim League took on 'Machete' star Michelle Rodriguez in the bout, which ended in Tim winning... barely. This year, we've got a whole new slew of brawlers entering the ring:
First up is the main fight: Tim League vs. bare knuckle boxing champion and star of the film 'Knuckle', James McDonagh:
Then, we have a surprise reunion: 'Lord of the Ring' stars Elijah Wood and Dominic Monaghan debating the merits of blockbuster MMORPG game World of Warcraft :
The next bout is between astrophysicist Andy Howell vs. NASA Hater Hunter (pretty self-explanatory name, if you ask me) vying for the honor of NASA.
Then lastly, we get to find out if blood really is thicker than water when brothers Nathan and David Zellner enter the ring to decide whether or not robots are superior in every way:
Who will win? Who will end up on the floor coughing up red chunks of what used to be their teeth? Stay tuned to find out as Spill at Fantastic Fest 2011 continues all week.

Comment by Paul Monroe on September 25, 2011 at 6:54am Well, the Lord of The Rings movie title sounds really gay (who will be the Lord of whose rings?).
And these videos look more like Bromance disguised as macho challenges.
Those "I'll destroy you" , " I'll end you" , "I'll leave you wasted and hurt (and perhaps happy about it)" .
Well, guys.
Ring is yours - you do as you wish.
