FF 2011: KNUCKLE Fantastic Debates - RESULTS!

The weekend may be over, but the festival just keeps on going! Over at the KNUCKLE Fantastic Debates, things got heated as competitors from around the world entered the ring to vie for the hearts and souls of the audience, then don a pair of gloves and try to make their opponent cough up blood. The challenges have been issued and accepted, the stage has been set...

Dominic Monaghan (promoting his film 'The Day') has an interesting pre-fight tradition:

Enough talk - let's fight!

Update! Here's the Elijah Wood / Dominic Monaghan fight in detail:

As the combatants left the ring, bodies and egos bruised, the dust settled and the crowd voted, revealing the winners of this year's KNUCKLE Fantastic Debates. They are as follows:

BOUT 1:

Astrophysicist Andy Howell vs. "F**K NASA" Hunter

To defend the honor of NASA

Winner: Andy Howell

Proving that NASA is indeed the greatest.

BOUT 2:

Nathan Zellner vs. David Zellner

The brothers battle to decide whether humans or robots are truly superior

Winner: Nathan Zellner

With some help from "Medium Wonder" (pics below), he proves that

we should all start bowing to our robotic superiors now.

BOUT 3:

Elijah Wood vs. Dominic Monaghan

The biggest bout this side of Mirkwood, the former Fellowship members

debate whether popular MMORPG World of Warcraft is a waste of time.

Winner: Dominic Monaghan

Merry massacred Frodo to prove that a billion WoW players can't be wrong.

MAIN EVENT:

Fantastic Fest's Tim League vs. bare-knuckle brawler James Quinn McDonagh

Who's tougher - a Texan or an Irishman?

Winner: Tim League

Austin's finest once again triumphs in the face of adversity

(along with some help from the hometown crowd).
