A vaudeville and later film act from the 20's till the late 60's,
'The Three Stooges' are among the greatest comedy acts of all time.

So, with
Variety reporting the
Farrelly brothers (Peter and Bobby) making a 'Three Stooges' film I thought I'd put in my unwanted 2 cents on who should play the stooges...
Larry:
Larry Fine, known for his trademark wild bushy red hair looks just like one of the greatest comedians of our generation, Louis C.K. so he was an easy first pick.

Curly:
Ironically named Curly Howard, the high-pitched voiced baldy with the intense eyes, just fits Jack Black. Although I hated the Black and Farrelly Brothers team-up on Shallow Hal, I couldn't think of anyone else who would work so well.

Shemp:
One of the original three stooges (replaced by brother Curly), Shemp Howard looked older than the others, disheveled and weathered with age, but since Jack Palance is deceased I had to go with Benicio del Toro. Originally the Farrellys' pick for Moe, I feel he is too old but could pull off his older brother Shemp greatly.

Moe:
Leader of the pack, Moe Howard was notorious for his chili bowl cut. While it may be tempting to pick Jim Carrey solely based on his Lloyd Christmas role in 'Dumb and Dumber' and its resemblance, I would have to pick Steve Carell.

What do ya'' think? Are my picks horrible? Who would you pick?
