Fan-Made Short Pits Wonder Woman Against Nazis

One of the issues facing DC's film initiative is that they are struggling to put together a Justice League movie before even giving some of the group's members their own standalone films. One character who has proven most difficult to adapt for contemporary audiences is Wonder Woman. The attempt to give the Amazonian heroine her own series on NBC, set to star Adrianne Palicki, monumentally failed and the big screen version has been in the "discussions stages" for so long that she's likely to get lapped by Batman and Superman several more times before we actually see it. Unsurprisingly, fans are really starting to become frustrated. One fan, stuntman Jesse V. Johnson ('Thor'), took matters into his own hands. Johson shot a short film, in essence a fake trailer, featuring Wonder Woman, in this case played by Nina Bergman, battling Nazis. Peter Stormare ('The Last Stand') also makes an appearance. Johnson indicated that he is trying to get into studio directing and that this is more or less his audition. As a first effort, it's not bad at all. However, I'm not ready to say that Johnson should absolutely direct a Wonder Woman movie nor that this is the direction in which they should take the character. Take a look at the short below and let us know what you think.

"A" for effort, but Wonder Woman is such and embarrassingly bad concept, it's just ridiculous and no amount of cinematic talent could rise it beyond that.

@1:58 Is it just me or is Whataburger sponsoring Wonder Woman?

Son, that was not angry. That was me giving you a tender slap of reality. Believe me when I say I am by far the gentlest individual here when it comes to the wannabe trolls. But feel free to push the boundaries til you get your account deleted.

Now THIS is how you make a Wonder Woman movie!!

Looks like Lobster might be on his period.

Angry butt-trolls aside, I feel like a good WW movie will never get made. It seems like no one is capable of modernizing WW, and if we set it in the past it seems like the original uniform (or anything like it) may bring out the feminists in droves.

Nice execution, though these kids aren't ready for the silver screen.

@Gift of the Magi:  For not caring about my opinions, you sure went through the trouble of getting angry over them.

Nobody asked you for your opinions.  Nobody requested your presence.  Nobody cares who the fuck you even are.  So with not much going for you slick, you're now allowed to excuse yourself and fuck off.
