Family Guy season premiere review

"The Road to the Multiverse"



I hate it when the Family Guy is so random. Here, it actually fits into the story. Stewie has a device that allows him and Brian to travel to different dimensions. I wont spoil the actual dimensions they travel to, because each one is clever and funny and they lead to hilarious moments of irony and satire. This is the most random episode of Family Guy I've ever seen and that's a good thing because it's part of the plot. And the plot takes up the entire episode. No two minute filler jokes to be found on this one.

I wish they had more time to develop the last dimension. It seemed as if that part of the story should have been it's own episode. And the final joke is beyond predictable.

This is what Family Guy should be: rapid firing jokes that further advance the story. This is a rare episode that is well written. One can only hope the rest of the season is this good.
