Eight-Year-Old Girl Spills Beans Re: 'Dark Knight Rises' Character?
In what has to be the strangest story of the day, a secret character appearance in 'The Dark Knight Rises' may have just been spoiled by...an eight-year-old girl? Well, more accurately an article written about eight-year-old actress Leilah De Meza in an English newspaper may have let the cat out of the bag. The girl's mother claims that her daughter was offered the role of young Talia al Ghul, daughter of the sinister Ra's al Ghul, in the upcoming 'TDKR,' but turned it down because the filmmakers were requiring Leilah to shave her head. The mother was concerned that her daughter would be teased at school if she were bald. There were speculations that Marion Cotillard's character, Wayne Enterprises' Miranda Tate, was actually going to be revealed to be Talia al Ghul, but that had not yet been confirmed in any way. With Christopher Nolan keeping an incredibly tight lid on certain aspects of the film, this is currently the only lead we have in the Talia department.
I know what you're thinking, and yes this is a whacked out way to gather movie intelligence. Also, it's quite possible that what this showbiz mom is reporting may not be entirely true. But doesn't this seem like a bizarre thing to fabricate? If she were just saying this for publicity sake, wouldn't she have blabbed to a larger outlet than her local newspaper? The simple fact is that, in this day and age, genuine movie news can come from damn near anywhere so it behooves us not to immediately discount this information based on its source. If it is true that Talia al Ghul will appear in the film beyond her eight-year-old version, I have to count myself a subscriber to the Marion Cotillard theory. Talia and Bats have quite the sordid past so it'll be interesting to see what Nolan does with the character...if, of course, this turns out to be verified. The article also refers to a potential plot point, leaked by Gary Oldman and somewhat confirmed by Nolan himself, that Gotham has passed legislation in the wake of Harvey Dent's demise, a man now revered by the city, to help weed out crime. All in all, a fascinating piece of the puzzle.
What do you guys think? Could this possibly be true? How do you think Talia would fit in to the story?

Of course the little girl would have been used for flash backs for Talia. Explaining how Ra (Liam Neeson) trained Talia or something before Batman killed him.

In what way is an eight year old girl a 'love interest' for Bruce Wayne?
How has the image of a fully grown woman with tits already spoiled the inclusion of an eight year old in this movie?

Regardless of this being true or not, I agree with Sumilidon. It would be nice if you kept out potential spoiler info from the titles of these blogs.
