Yes, if you havn't been counting, it's true. There have been a whopping 8 celebrities to die in 1 month. my old teacher also died, but that's not what you're here for.

The tragic death of David Carradine was a bit confusing to me. I saw the name, and then the picture. Then I saw a different name. BILL! Then i saw the cause...wow. (of course now I hear that it wasn't auto asphyxiation but who knows) anyways, I sortof went about my business and made a few occasional jokes to my friends etc. It wasn't until I heard Carlyle recount his previous works that i realized he was in alot of my favorite movies, be it that he was masked or dressed up as an old person, he was always wonderful. A couple weeks went by...

Ed McMahon's death didn't have a huge impact on me other than the fact that he was the second celebrity to die recently, which i thought was kinda weird at the time. I only really knew him for his famous lines like "Heeeere's Johnny!". A few days later...

I was on Entertainment Weekly for whatever reason and I saw an update stating that Farrah Fawcett had died from rectal cancer. I didn't know too much about her except she was on Charlie's Angels and THAT poster, but it ws still sad. Later, I went to the mall, and got a strange text from some girl at a carnival. She was texting me like she knew me, but apparently had gotten the wrong number and wanted a different Chris. We talked a bit anyways, until she told me "so theyre sayin Mikey J is dead" Who the hell is Mikey J? must be one of her friends she thinks I know. Oh well. I replied "Yeah how tragic" hoping she would just drop it there. Later I went on the internet and learned about Mikey J...

OOO THAT MIKEY J
Shit...nahhh he's not dead. He's probably just sick or something. afterall, TMZ reported it. they must be starving for news. after Farrah died, it would be a very news worthy story for such a coincidence to happen...oh, it's actually true.....shit.
Yeah, I immediately bought the Greatest Hits on iTunes (havnt gotten around to listening to it but i'll get to it) and basically just sat there the rest of the day in disbelief. a few days later...

My friend said that God needed some entertainment in heaven, I guess he needed some Oxyclean too...
Billy Mays. Dead. What the fuck is goin on?? sure, his commercials were annoying and products probably didn't work, but still...I'm sure he was a really nice guy.
For the masses, the celebrity death carriage seemed over.

I didn't really know who Karl Maldon (Bottom) and Harve Presnell (Top) were before I heard about their deaths, but looking into their history, they were both very esteemed actors who are credited with great movies in each of their careers. Just when it all seemed to be over, the most recent event occurred.

(He is much more famous for being on the Tennessee Titans, but I'm from Baltimore, so I have a pic of him on the Ravens)
Steve McNair, an NFL quarterback was the only celebrity of the bunch to die violently. He was found dead with multiple gun shot wounds with his dead girlfriend, who only suffered one gunshot wound. It is suspected and just about confirmed that the death was a murder-suicide in which his girlfriend (who had bought a gun very recently) had killed McNair and shot herself afterwords. Now, I wasn't a huge fan of McNair, even when he was on my team, but he was incredibly talented and he did not deserve such a fate.
I think it's fair to assume this massive number of tragedies this month is a huge coincidence, and let's all hope history does not repeat itself in this case.
