This is freakin' great. Glad to see The Tree Of Life being your winner. I hope to see A Seperation soon. Check out my best of 2011 in movies nominees blog.

I loved Beginners and it is one of the best romance films I have ever seen. But there were certain scenes that I either didn't care for or thought the film could have done without.

Once again, this is sweet. I love Juliette Binoche by the way.

I knew I'd get asked about 'Super' here. To be honest, this year more than ever I managed to stay away from films that I knew I'd probably hate, so when it came time to decide which films I thought were the worst, at least compared to the other films I saw this year, those two made the list. 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' I just didn't like at all. I felt the characters were annoying, not developed well enough or their motivations/actions felt forced or out of place, and just the whole story annoyed me, especially a lot of the more cliched moments. As for 'Super', I just didn't like it at all. I felt it was trying too hard to go along with the trend of 'everyday superhero' films, and it's one unique feature, the mental state of the lead, was more annoying to me than interesting especially when it got to the whole weird ending with the religion/redemption undertones, which did not but make me roll my eyes. I can see why some might like it but I couldn't. 'Defendor' will still always be my favorite 'real life superhero' film.

Well done, Duke. Just a question, though: Why are Super and Crazy Stupid Love on your worst films list? I'm not going to judge you, I'm just curious as to why you didn't like them.
