Interesting news today for Marvel fans: Disney has bought from Paramount Pictures the right to distribute The Avengers and Iron Man 3, marking the first films that will be released by the House of Mouse after they bought the House of Ideas a little more than a year ago.
Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger will still be released by Paramount next year and these will be the last Marvel properties they can distribute. To cope with the loss, Disney is paying them $115 million for The Avengers and Iron Man 3; the money will be paid after both are released.
Which leads to another interesting piece of news: the release dates for the above mentioned films: The Avengers will touch down May 4, 2012 and Iron Man 3 will come on May 3, 2013.
In other news, Paramount will most likely ask for Jackass 4 (one can dream) and begin production on that
Justin Bieber 3D flick (no I'm not making that latter up)
