If it's crap... We'll tell you

Source: Studio Briefing

Disney is converting its animated classic Beauty and the Beast to 3-D digital with plans for theatrical release in 2010.

The studio also intends to release 3-D versions of Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 as well as the upcoming Pixar feature, Rapunzel.

A Christmas Carol, starring Jim Carrey, will be the first 3-D IMAX feature in the 2009-2010 season, due to hit theaters in November 2009.

Let me first say that I like 3D film, especially when they're set around to use it well, as in Journey to the Center of the Earth and the Best of Both Worlds Concert tour. But older movies were made perfect the first time, and trying to change them by tacking on junk like 3D is bad and worthless. It's nothing more than the modern-day equivalent of the colorization process for black and white films. Doesn't look right, and distracts from the charms of the original.

superkavi Did you think to kill me? There's no flesh and blood within this cloak to kill. There is only an idea. Ideas are bulletproof.

superkavi In the Beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
