Detailed Shot Of The Iron Patriot From 'Iron Man 3'

Just because no other Avengers will appear in Shane Black's 'Iron Man 3,' doesn't mean that Tony will have to go it all alone. Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes will be fighting by his side again, though this time around his War Machine armor is getting a serious makeover. The red white, and blue paint job transforms War Machine into The Iron Patriot. We've seen a few set images of this suit before, but none as detailed as this scan from Empire Magazine. I can't wait to see this baby in action. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3rd, 2013

That doesn't feel very detailed :(

I know stark is a bajillionaire but how many suits do you need. Here's a suit for underwater, here's one for outer space, one for sports, one for showing off, getting pizza, businesses meetings, cooking, video games (with mountain dew dispenser), casual fridays, this one's got a tie on it. Oh yeah. A tuxedo version for getting married in... getting married? Yeah right.

...tank missile!

Who needs camo when you're flying around in a suit made out of a tank?

@Chris-thulu~  Pretty sure it's meant as an iconic symbol like they described Captain America's garb in his movie.  Also, I'm pretty sure he doesn't need camo, lol.

You know what I want right now?

It looks pretty gaudy. I would expect the military to paint the armor in camo.

Its sad to say, but he looks cooler than the star of the show.

Looks better than the new Iron Man armour IMO.
