Deadpool Movie to be Produced by Marvel!

...I must say that this makes me feel much, MUCH happier after the fiasco that was Deadpool/Wade Wilson's representation in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. After all, there isn't a single mention of Twentieth Century Fox.

Will it be better because Marvel is producing it? I think and desperately hope so. With how well Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk were done last year, I believe this movie does have hope... Though I'm trying not to let my hopes get too high; there is still a lot of room for this to fail miserably.

All we Deadpool fans can hope for right now is that he'll be handled with a little more "care" than he was by Fox. For now, I'll just hope they get a good director, writer, and so forth.

...Oh, while reading the classic Deadpool comics. : )

EDIT: Well, bad news. It seems as though Fox is distributing the movie. I'm not exactly sure what that will mean, but I can't imagine anything good will come of it.

once I see it than I know they are going to do the character justice, but there not going to do that so fuck this movie.

Where did you read this? As far as I know, FOX owns the film rights to all of the X-Men characters, so that means that they are going to be involved quite a bit. Marvel producing it, doesn't mean that they have complete creative control, whether the article mentioned FOX or not.

Which means that there is still a very good chance that Fox will find some way to bastardize the character. So do yourself a favor, and don't get your hopes up.
