If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Theredknite posted a statusWell recently I saw the gameplay footage to Dead Space 3 and I have to say, it looks awesome. I never judge a game until I play it. But what really disturbed and angered me, was the tons of comments saying "This is now Lost Planet", "Way to go, EA, another pointless shooter" and so on and so forth.
REALLY? I-I mean really, am I the only one who's willing to go "well this seems kinda out of place for a Dead Space entry, but who knows, it's only 20 minutes out of the whole game, it might be awesome-er than what I'm seeing here", but no, after two amazing games, the "fans" just dropped it like a hot potato. That's just sad, but hey, it's their loss. I look forward to it with FULL anticipation.
UPDATE: Well, it seems I was right all along. I apologize if people get the impression I'm being smug because of what you just read, but this latest trailer proves that people were flipping their shit for nothing. People are so quick to judge, which is kind of sad. On the other hand, I happily await Dead Space 3's release.

Comment by Cab on July 19, 2012 at 11:35pm Being one of those guys who's hating on what we've seen from Dead Space 3, I have to say that I just can't stand the fact that EA went the route of introducing Co-op in a survival horror game. I'm one of the many who think that playing with a buddy entirely takes out the horror aspect and what your left with is just a blood drenched monster shoot em up (and apparently humans now as well...thanks EA). Not to mention the previous attempt to do co-op survival horror was RE5 and it's probably one of the most disappointing entries in the series (not my personal opinion).
I'd also like to note that in any survival horror game especially the previous 2 Dead Space games, one of my biggest gripes is that by the time you upgrade all your weapons and load your arsenal, being able to literally one shot any baddie that jumps in front of you does make the game feel out of genre and very non threatening.
Comment by Jman on July 19, 2012 at 11:22pm I'm sorry, shouldn't have used the word pointless, but I mean it in the sense of "Oh, it's another generic shooter". Dead Space, which you know, broke the mold of horror games because of it's close quarters, the fact that you had no super abilities, etc. It's like a plumber stuck in Area 51 and all the aliens broke out.
