Justified Julius posted a statusThe biggest news this week, possibly this year, is that Lucasfilm was purchased by Disney, and that a new movie in the iconic 'Star Wars' franchise is slated for 2015. Almost immediately, the geek literati took to the internet with plenty of humorous reactionary images and videos. One of my favorites is this video of Darth Vader's trip to Disneyland. It's fun and features a wonderful, more whimsical cover of John Williams' Imperial March. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think.

Comment by pyranova on November 6, 2012 at 5:09am That video is old, it just got reposted on that youtube channel but it's been around for a long time. Seriously, gifs rendered from it have been floating around tumblr since last year, probably longer.
Here's a gif describing my feelings on Disney and Lucasfilm.
Comment by VideaVice on November 5, 2012 at 6:17pm That video has been made by Disney itself, fuck the Mouse!
Comment by Jon Riddle on November 2, 2012 at 4:53pm I'd like to reiterate what the Duke of Ontario said, and emplore Disney to give us the unadulterated versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi on BluRay and DVD.
Comment by Jordan Hoffman on November 2, 2012 at 2:38am They're servicable.
But anyway, I hope it doesn't make the first 6 useless by reintroducing the sith or having the empire get strong again.
I also hope they do something new, no following the Expanded universe.
Comment by Jordan Hoffman on November 2, 2012 at 2:37am I just hope the sequels don't fuck with the original 6.
Yeah, I said 6. I'm not as anal about the prequels as everybody else.
They're not great (save for Revenge of the Sith)
But they're okay.
Comment by CPW2007 on November 2, 2012 at 12:59am Ugh I cringed. Except for the haunted mansion part, that was funny.

Comment by SpaceMan on November 1, 2012 at 6:48pm I don't give a damn what anybody say's the second I heard there was going to be a Episode 7 I had a super nerdgasm. From what I've seen of Disney on the Marvel side of things, I believe Star Wars is in good hands.
Comment by PresidentEvil on November 1, 2012 at 6:40pm I just hope they don't fuck up those Movies. I really wonder what they want to do story-wise though, as there is an unbelievable amount of star wars books covering the space between The Return of the Jedi and The Yuzahn Vong Wars. Plus, I dont really want the Original Star Wars Characters be played by a new Actor, and it be just ridiculous if they brought back Mark Hamill or Harrison Ford, say, in a Storyline 40 After RotJ. They best set it about 300 Years after, then they can do whith it whatever they want.
By the way... where is that fucking live-action tv series you've been talking about for YEARS now, GEORGE LUCAS?? I hope Disney makes that, too.
Comment by Matthew A. Sawtell on November 1, 2012 at 6:22pm First Marvel, now Lucas? What is left of a child's memories that are left to assimulated by the Mouse?
