Note: I have played the first Crysis on the computer with the graphics turned nearly all the way up for effect. I have beaten the first Crysis many times and love it.

The second Crysis starts out with you as a Marine named Alcatraz three years after the original Crysis game. Alcatraz and his squad are on board a submarine on it's way to extract Dr. Nathan Gould, who possibly has vital information on how to combat the alien race. Then, suddenly the aliens attack the sub, Alcatraz get's out of the sub and turns out to be the only survivor. Just as you expect Alcatraz to die and become a useless character to the game, you see Prophet (your leader in the original Crysis game) come out of nowhere and begin kicking alien ass. Prophet of course scares off the alien's and notices Alcatraz lying on the ground dying. He comes up to Alcatraz as he keeps on fading out of consciousness and picks him up. Prophet then brings Alcatraz back to this broken down building. There Prophet is revealed to have been infected by "The Manhattan virus" which is a virus which has nearly destroyed Manhattan.

Just look at him, he looks so sad. Well that probably explains why shortly after he saves Alcatraz he kills himself. But it's all OK because he equipped Alcatraz with the nanosuit just before doing this. The main reason for committing suicide is that he was already dying along with the fact that the nanosuit would not work for Alcatraz unless the original user (Prophet) was dead. So Alcatraz wakes up, figures all this out, then goes on to contact Nathan Gould. Even if it is a pain in the ass to get there because of C.E.L.L (a private military group trying to control the outbreak in Manhattan) being all over the streets assuming he is Prophet.  And the story goes on from there.

Now, I'll discuss the multiplayer. The multiplayer for Crysis 2 isn't a very different experience even with the stealth and armor capabilities. When you try and summarize the multiplayer on Crysis 2 it's best to say "It's Halo Reach mixed with a little Call of Duty." It has the armor effect and the stealth, like Halo Reach and has the system of getting 50-100 points per kill with added bonuses such as headshots and smackdowns (punching a dude in the face.)

Pros:

Crysis 2 is a great looking game, even if the graphics are nowhere near as good as the 2007 original they're still good for an Xbox 360 title. It has an intriguing story. The game is also very entertaining due to your armor upgrades and the use of stealth and advanced armor. Also the aliens in this game are better to fight than the flying ones in the original.

Cons: The game feels like a big step down from the first game. In the original the nanosuit was actually better than the nanosuit 2.0 in this game which doesn't really make sense. Something I dislike about both Crysis games though is how you are fighting military and it's really entertaining, but then you get to the aliens and they just turn out to be more of a pain in the ass to fight than something that can challenge you and also be fun simultaneously. Back to the nanosuit 2.0 being weaker, in the first crysis your nanosuit had the ability to max armor, stealth, and strength. In this game there is only max armor and stealth. Stealth can be a great advantage in this game but max armor never seems to help much. Strength was always great for hand to hand combat because you could crush your enemy with a single punch. Now with that effect gone you have to punch your enemy 3-5 times just to kill them.

I may sound like I overall dislike the game, but I don't, the game is very fun for a while and has a great campaign but has some flaws (mostly minor) as well.

If I had to rate this on a 10/10 scale I'd probably give this a 8/10. For the first Crysis I'd probably give a 9/10.

Thanks for reading.

@Portuguese Proud, Yeah I'm really anticipating Battlefield 3, it looks astounding. Hopefully the campaign for it will be more serious than the Bad Company games. Since most of the characters in those games don't take anything seriously.

Man, crysis 2 looks a lot better than the first. I think it has the best graphics on the market. But you need a pc to see that. A really good one.

The plot on this is really bad though
