Concept Art For Bong Joon-ho's 'Snowpiercer'
If you aren't familiar with Korean director Bong Joon-ho, correct this oversight at once. Seek out 'The Host,' 'Mother,' and/or 'Memories of a Murder.' I am giddy with excitement for Joon-ho's first English language film 'Snowpiercer.' Based on the French graphic novel 'Le Transperceneige' by Benjamin Legrand, 'Snowpiercer' takes place in a post-apocalyptic future and revolves around the last remaining survivors all aboard one train. The cinematic adaptation will star Chis Evans, Tilda Swinton, and Ed Harris. Today, concept art for the film has surfaced and I'll be dipped if it doesn't make me want to see the film all the more. If The Weinstein Company has given Joon-ho ample enough budget, this should be an amazing piece of sci-fi. A few days prior to this, the first teaser poster for the movie was also uncovered. Another poster where all that is on it is words. Yeah that will look great on my wall. This concept really intrigues me though and with a good cast to back it up this could be a standout film for 2013.

I do love Memories of Murder but most of the time foreign directors with a great track-record abroad all of the sudden start sucking in The States, probably due to the studio suits breathing down their neck. I will still hope for the best.

Very cool concept art and what a HUGE cast of stars. Hopefully it will capture the adventure and claustrophobia of The Abyss and Das Boot.
