Companion to LEOG issue #12
What? New art?
Yeah, it must’ve been nearly a year ago that I promised Beau I’d scrimshaw some cartoon avatars for the rest of the crew, but I was recently inspired by a generous contribution from the Zeek Slider Foundation to Spill’s Old Retired and Broke Artists Home to crank up the ol’ Wacom tablet and get crackin’. Looking back, if I’d only done it back when Beau first asked me I’d have had only half as many faces to draw. *sigh*
It’s been a while since I put one of these LEOG Companions together- partially because we got so blitzed during the other shows I couldn’t remember the details - but in this week’s issue we had some extra things I wanted to touch on. First off, the show started out to be something of a mid-year check up. We opened up with bringing back one of our early guests and friend of the show Bill Williams (pubilsher of Lonestar Press) to sit in with us.
Bill talked about his latest venture, the online comic “The Urban Adventures of Melvin Blank”, currently running on DC’s ZUDA comics site.

From there we move on to answering all your old questions we never got around to before.
Okay, not ALL of them (c’mon, let’s get real, here) but every one that the randomizer chose. Fortunately, this led into discussing what I wanted to talk about: Status check on previously featured storyline- especially the deaths/ rebirths/ deaths(??) of Captain America and the Batman.
Now that we’re halfway through the year what does the future hold for this League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen? Well, gosh. With all this talk lately of me “dropping spoilers like I have a disease” it’s probably best I don’t say anything.
…But there is that big wizard boy movie coming up, that we might have some words on and so many people in the League are rabid fans of that guys whose name I can’t remember. Josh Reardon? Wheaten?...something like that.
Oh, and there’s still a big member of the League we plan to spotlight next.
