Companion to LEOG and the Much-Awaited Harry Potter Issue!
Apparate with the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen to Hogwarts and Diagon Alley as we knock back a few butter beers and discuss...
Aw, come on! Even we aren't THAT geeky -well, most of us aren't (see image above). Instead we assembled a Jason-free LEAGUE to polish off a big bottle of expensive single-malt scotch and wax poetically on our favorite boy wizard, Harry Potter. The magic elixir (Veritaserum, if you will) was provided by our special guest Shawn, the cell phone cop.
And since Noa (podbaydoor) was still kicking around town we had her sit in too, even though she's an unapologetic muggle.
I'd like to let you know how much painstaking preparation went into this episode...but I CAN'T, because frankly we all* love this series so much it was easy. And when you got the hardest of hardcore fans like Grant, Kristin, Allison and "Encyclopedia Beau" in your group you pretty much just have to turn the mics on and sit back. But don't worry, there's a healthy mix of everybody. I dare say, this was not only so much fun to record but I think it's the most entertaining LEOG since the Geek Girls show.
..Although, if you're a GRANT fan this is the show for you because it was clearly HIS NIGHT.
As we warn, we hadn't seen the new 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' movie at the time we recorded this but there are spoilers aplenty from the books. If you want to download this and wait to listen to it after you finish the books we'll understand- BUT HURRY THE HELL UP, ALREADY!! They're actually quick reads. Even better, I would highly suggest the audiobooks, which to me are the best audiobooks ever produced. Honestly, I enjoy them even more than the books AND the movies.
As for next week's show?
Hmmn...I'm not sure. There's so much demand for us to do a follow-up on the animation show. But then again, Cyrus and I will be out San Diego Comic Con so perhaps we'll broadcast "live" from there.

Fantastic pic Leon. I love Co-Host as the snitch! I'm a long time listener of Mugglecast & Pottercast which I love but I really wish you guys would do a LEOG show on HP after you see HBP. You all are much more unbiased than they are and I'd really like to know what everyone in the League thinks about it. Thanks!!
