For having such demented minds you couldn't meet more friendly and down to earth guys. Director Marcus Dunstan and writer Patrick Melton, the scribes behind Saw IV, V, VI, invite me to their hotel room, abandon me, and leave me to fight my way out through numerous gruesome traps. Only that didn't happen, although I wouldn't put past them to write and direct a movie about it someday. In reality, however, the only thing they tried to trap me with was chicken wings they ordered from room service. That's how cool they are.
This was probably the best interview I shared with anyone at Comic-con as they talked to me about their new horror movie, shared the inner workings of their sick minds, and revealed some traps that were too vile for the Saw series. I had a blast with these guys and wish them the best.
It's funny, because I think they realize that Saw IV, V, and VI were going to suck anyway, so they decided just to have fun with this, but I think "The Collector" is a genuine labor of love that looks pretty damn good
Damn. Didn't know such sick and demented minds could be so cool and down to earth lol. I love the Saw films and it's so cool to finally hear these guys in an interview! Thanks Korey!
korey, i love the podcast but one thing that always bothers me about them is you never flatten the track of audio, compress it cause when 6yll get loud,it gets TOO loud
liberate29 does raise a good point but I saw the trailer and was very interested in seeing the movie and then i found out they did those saw movies and then my reservations for the movie started to kick in, but I am going to remain open minded and might end up seeing the flick for the interesting story and premise it presents.
Recently, on LDT, Korey expressed feelings about leaving Spill. He said that he had felt this way before and this feeling is now more serious than before.
My hope is that this group will show Korey how much we appreciate him and what he does for us.
