What up my ninjas! Just got back last night at 3:00 in the a.m. and started downloading all my awesome photos, video and audio on to my crummy computer to give you the best overall coverage I could, being the one robot army that I am. I have to admit, besides being stranded on Friday rolling my ass around Manhattan looking for shelter and dealing with problems like trying to find a public power outlet, toilet and free Wi-Fi without paying money for a lousy 126k connection, I ended up having a fun ass HELL RIDE at this year's New York Comic-Con! On the first day of the con it was great seeing this! It reminded that I still know how to rock my old school road map. No goole maps for this robot!
What was really beyond cool was when I saw THIS!!! FUNK YEAH! I need this banner to wrap around my entire building, like NOW!
This was the first con I've ever attended along with it being my first trip to New York, hell, anywhere really, so I had no idea what to expect or know how crazy things would get trying to get into the panels that I really wanted to see. It was great checking out all the newest video games on display in the showroom floors like Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock, Michael Jackson's The Experience dance game, Dead Space 2, Finale Fantasty XIV Online, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Tron Evolution, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, Captain America: Super Soldier, Epic Mickey, and so much more! How in the hell does anyone afford this stuff? I thought we were in a recession...? I'm editing some video of all the gameplay action so look for that soon.
And of coarse what comic-con would be complete without all the comic book artist, publishing companies, retailers, toy companies and just about everything under the sun dealing with geekdom.
It was really cool seeing families taking pictures with all of their favorite heroes and getting autographs from some of their favorite comic artist and writers. What fun!!!
I even took one or two pics of some of my all time favorite heroes while going from panel to panel and met some killer new ones, and on top of all of that meet, I managed to met some of my fellow press colleges and share notes!
Ahh some great times that I'll soon be sharing with you guys! Well this stuff isn't gonna edit itself! Look for further updates about some of the panels, maybe tonight, and definitely tomorrow!
