'Cloud Atlas' Concept Art Revealed
Thanks to Korean website Han Cinema, we now have our first hint at what the Wachowskis'/Tom Tykwer's 'Cloud Atlas' might look like. The film, based on the novel by David Mitchell, is composed of a series of stories taking place a various points across time and space and will star Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Hugo Weaving. If the entire film is as gorgeous as this recently released concept art, I cannot wait to see 'Cloud Atlas.' The first image depicts the Korea of the future, the year 2144 to be exact. I particularly love it's apparent 'Blade Runner' vibe. The second image, also of an as-yet-undefined city, is so beautiful I want to frame it and put it on my wall; the lonely ship drifting toward the skyline. Take a look at the images below and tell us what you think.
'Cloud Atlas' is due out in October of 2012.

This seem pretty interesting but this is just concept art. The concept art tends to look more awesome than the film. Though I'm more excited for the directorial collaboration. I don't know whether or not The Wachowskis and Tom Tywker are a good mix but the names and filmography are enough for me to be interested.

Wait, whatever happened to that weird futuristic/gay romance/Iraqi war movie that they were making? Did Hollywood collectively rise up and point at them and shout "NO" until they axed that idea? Or is it still moving forward?
This concept art is cool. But most concept art for just about any movie is. I'll need to see actual footage before I get excited.

hey, I didn't know the wachowski's were doing this! that's awesome! I love all the matrix films and speed racer was good for what it was.
