In addition to the new character "John Lassetire" that debuted last week, Walt Disney Pictures just released brand new hi-res images of two new characters from the upcoming Pixar sequel "Cars 2". Rod "Torque" Redline, voiced by cult-hero Bruce Cambell, is a Detroit muscle car that is considered to be one of the greatest American spies in the world.

Rod receives crucial information about a plot to sabotage World Gran Prix in Tokyo, Japan, but before he can rendezvous with his British counterparts he is pursued by unknown bad guys and is forced to pass the intel along to Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), best friend of Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson).

Also added is Siddeley (voiced by Harry Potter villain Jason Isaacs), a gadget filled state-of-the-art British twin-engine spy jet and partner of British spycar Finn McMissile (Michael Caine). The British intelligence team will have to pair up with Mater (of less-than-average intelligence) to save the Grand Prix and perhaps the world when 'Cars 2' releases on June 24th.

The characters of Rod Torque Redline and Siddeley look great and it sounds like they have fun stories about themsevles respectively.

I am glad to hear that Bruce Campbell joined the cast of Cars 2  as the voice of Rod Torque Redline because I enjoyed his hysterical proformances in The Spider-Man Trilogy and I enjoyed Bruce's witty, fun, and appealing voiceover proformance as the voice as the villianous Mayor Shelbourne in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Bruce Campbell you say. Okay, I'll waste money on it.

@Knives-Don't you know the Bruce Campbell drinking game has been known to kill people.

Well, unlike most of you, I loved Cars, probably because of how much my younger siblings ADORE it. xD But, seriously, SPIES? WHY?!

Campbell can be great when he's utilized by filmmakers who know how to use him. I don't doubt that Lassater can do it, but this project still doesn't interest me. I don't think it'll be terrible (as I didn't think Cars was terrible; just thought it was mediocre), but it's not for me.
