At the 38th Annual 'Annie' Animation Awards, Brad Bird was given the Winsor McCay Award for his career contribution to the field of animation. Bird - director of 'The Iron Giant', 'The Incredibles','Ratatouille', and a swarm of other animation projects - is currently directing his first live action film, 'Mission:Impossible -Ghost Protocol', starring Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg. In his pre-recorded acceptance speech he announces his supposed retirement from animation, though if you pay close attention you'll see why this decision might not be one taken all too seriously. (Skip ahead to 4:30 for the actual speech)

After reading some of the comments on here i Hope everyone looking at this understands that this is just a joke.  He cares WAY to much for animation to leave it, thats why this video is so perfect.  At the awards everyone was laughing way to hard to even listen to the last half of his speech

They should make a movie like that. Tom Cruise as a scary, angry kidnapper and Simon Pegg as the more lighthearted ("we're really not that bad") kidnapper :D
