'Bond 23' Back In Business, Says David Arnold, Kate Winslet

Source: The Daily Mail, IndieWire

This still may be a bit premature, but various sources are today saying that EON Productions may finally be moving forward with the 23rd installment of the iconic James Bond film franchise.

Series composer David Arnold (who has scored each Bond flick since 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies) told IndieWire that the new film was "back on" after being put on indefinite hold earlier this year because of MGM's financial meltdown.

Meanwhile, Kate Winslet, ex-wife of on-again, off-again Bond 23 director Sam Mendes, also chimed in, saying that “Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens. It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”

Additionally, the trade notes that Mendes' theater friend Simon Russell Beale may be in the running for a role in the film. “Every actor wants to be in Bond", he said. "I’d love to be a baddie. I saw Sam just before Christmas and dropped a hint – and he just looked wearily at me.”

Could Beale take on the role of the feared head of Quantum, the mysterious organization hinted at in the previous two films? I think we'll soon find out...

Good. Hope this is the real deal and not another false start. Big fan of this reboot and Craig as 007. Hope it does not come out at the same time as "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."

Liam Wilson - "Cool. Hopefully we have more of the amazing sequences from Casino Royale and less of the Bournesque quick cuts that fucked up Quantum of Solace."

AND STOP SHAKING THE DAMN CAMERA!!! Thank you.

Hurry up dammit! Craig is the best Bond in a while we need as many movies from him as we can get.

I already heard that Bond was moving forward again, but when I saw Kate Winslet's name I was like "WHAT?! SHE'S A BOND GIRL?!" and totally forgot she was married to Sam Mendes. Sad..two divorces for her now. Still love her though and I'm excited for the next Bond...Daniel Craig always makes me go "HOT DAMN" everytime I see him as Bond.

Oh my jesus. Please. I love the hell out of the Daniel Craig movies and practically cried over no Bond this year.

The real question is if it'sis going to be about the continuation Quantum secret organisation storyline, or SPECTRE 2.0 ;)

Nice. Can't wait to see what they do with Bond next. Hopefully, it'll be more like Casino Royale and less like Quantum of Solace.
