In Kimberly Peirce's remake, though we aren't sure what stylistic changes she may make, we're still fairly confident that Carrie (Chloe Moretz) isn't going to have a delightful prom experience. This latest image from the film paints Moretz in a very familiar, very bloody light. This will be the pivotal scene, the moment that determines the audience's acceptance of Mortez in the role made famous by Sissy Spacek. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

Comment by Richard Evans on February 26, 2013 at 2:04pm So far Stephen king novels that been converted to film have made great suscess. Shawshank, the green mile, the mist, the shining, misery, and It. There are three films that i have not seen yet that are adapted from stephen king. What i'm tryng to say is that the mojarity of the time the movies are great. We should not have nothin to worry about.
Comment by Absinthe Minded on February 26, 2013 at 1:00pm I think that this remake will be a success. A good thing that could come about as a result is a resurgence in Stephen King's books being adapted. Hopefully, they would do them right this time.
The Shining, The Mist, Stand By Me, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, and Misery are the only movies I can think of that were as good, if not better than, the original stories. Since King has written over 50 novels and over 200 short stories, that's not a good track record for Hollywood.

Comment by Dr. Detfink on February 26, 2013 at 10:37am Poor Chloe...going for the triple crown of remake box office bombs: Let the Right One In, Dark Shadows...and now, Carrie.
Comment by Joshua Balcombe on February 26, 2013 at 9:30am Can't wait for the things they left out of the original. Wreak havok on that town!
Comment by Goatsey on February 26, 2013 at 7:28am Not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this, but since Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz has really been pushing her middle name. Now everytime you see her credited somewhere, it's Chloe Grace Moretz.
Comment by Penny Dreadful on February 26, 2013 at 6:55am I think it will be a good movie. Better than De Palma's, which I thought was a very medicore movie
