Iain Hood posted a blog postViral marketing is supposed to leave you scratching your head, devoid of most details in order that your curiosity is piqued for the movie it is selling. Given that the aim of viral marketing is to be mysterious and vague, I'd definitely say that this recently released fake CIA memo associated with 'The Dark Knight Rises' is doing its job. The memo, released in two parts, appears to be for a character named Dr. Leonid Pavel, a nuclear scientist whose status is listed as missing. How exactly this character will fit into the plot of Christopher Nolan's upcoming third Batman film remains to be seen. Check out the pages below and tell us what you think.

Comment by Cranky Old Dude on December 12, 2011 at 6:17am It will be in only 100 IMAX screens nation-wide. They are being very selective (damn it). Not going to be at any near me. So will have to wait for it to show up on Internet. Shall we take bets on how fast it (the real deal, not some blurry hand held, cell phone camera rip off) shows up on the net and who gets it first?

It will be shown before Mission Impossible 4 in cinemas only... and possibly all over the internet right after that!
Comment by Dalek Hunter Matt on December 10, 2011 at 3:00pm where can we see the prologue?
Comment by Your Father on December 10, 2011 at 8:47am Doesn't interest me much. As far as I can tell this film doesn't need viral marketing campaigns to create "buzz". Everyone already knows about this film and is anticipating it based on the quality of the previous two (& Nolan's other work). Even if I see and hear nothing of this film until July, my excitement will still be at a 10 and I (along with many others) will race to see this film (in IMAX too).
