To compliment our live Oscar podcast tonight, we thought it might be fun to go back revisit a few of the movies we reviewed in the Best Picture category, along with other categories in which they received a nomination. Why watch bland red carpet interviews when you can have a little pre-show fun here.

Toy Story 3 or Social Network should have won! Social Network was so close to winning Best Picture and Toy Story 3 was hands down the best film of 2010!

Colin Firth deserved best actor all jesse eisenberg did was talk fast, his only clear opponent was James Franco, but there is no use arguing now.

it's over and The Kings Speech won

Come on, people are angry that King's Speech won? It wasn't that much of a surprise. It was good, and it was Oscar fodder, who cares that it won. I can still watch Inception and the Social Network as many times as I want over the years, and will probably forget about King's Speech.

The thing that did piss me off, was Tom Hooper getting best director... Ugh

Fuck the academy, The Fighter, Social Network, or Inception should have won Best Picture. And seeing Jesse Eisenburg winning Best Actor would have been awesome. Fuck Colin Firth as well

@Nobody

Sadly, New Years was two months ago. At this point I don't think there will be a best/worst podcast outside of LEOG.

Black Swan and The King's Speech have been blocked because of copyright issues on Youtube. Could you fix them?

I'm so sick of films like The King's Speech.  They're churned out there with that obvious 'Oscar contender' quality.  And because the producers either have it up with the Weinstein's or some socialite clique associated with the Academy, you know they've won as soon as you see the trailer.  Then you have to deal with the equally if not better but certainly more interesting films that compete with it, STILL knowing they're not going to get the recognition they deserve.  But that's fine.  Hollywood can pat itself on the back all it wants.  Oscars don't mean SHIT anymore.
