King of the Koopas posted a statusCloud Atlas, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Brave. What do these 3 films all have in common, they are on my list of the top ten best film's of 2012.
Like I said on of my worst of, 2012 has been a pretty good year in film. My opinion of course. But this time I'm talking about the good stuff.
I'm doing this list before I see Les Miserable. Also haven't seen Zero Dark Thirty & The Master so I don't want hear how come it's not on here. Also their are going to be films on here you're going to disagree with. That being said here's my list.
10.Prometheus
I really loved the world they set up & the journey they were on, it honestly had me thinking about it for day's. Prometheus also has haunting visual grandeur and compelling performances particularly Michael Fassbender as a fastidious android.
9.Snow White & the Huntsman
For this kind of film, it really hit all of my soft spots. It was visually beautiful, compelling, adventurous, dark, surprising good acting & direction. Also, it takes a story that has been told to death and breathes new life into it which I can't praise enough.
8.Lincoln
Daniel Day Lewis is Lincoln & thanks to a beautifully written script it rises above typical Oscar fair & makes the film very special in it's own right. Supporting performances from Sally Field & Tommy Lee Jones don't hurt. This is the Spielberg I like.
7.The Perks of Being a Wallflower
On the outside it may look like a typical teen drama. But on the inside it's really a substance rich, wonderfully acted, beautifully directed & written film about outsiders you all feel for.
6.Frankenweenie
Frankenweenie are positives about Tim Burton rolled into one beautiful film about a boy and his dog. Visually beautiful, sweet & full of heart, wit & emotional depth. How the FUCK did this wonderful film bomb.
Stay tuned for number's 5-1
