Jack O'mally posted a statusI am really getting excited for Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus.' The kind-of-sort-of prequel to 'Alien' looks to be spectacular sci-fi on an epic scale. Like the breathtaking pic we posted earlier this month, this gorgeous hi-res image of the titular ship itself was just recently revealed...and not easily. Apparently it was revealed through a strange viral marketing campaign that required users to add the names of ancient Sumerian cities to website addresses. So enjoy the image below, because apparently it wasn't easy to come by:

'Prometheus' hits theaters June 8th.

Comment by randy on March 23, 2012 at 11:20am I'm glad they put effort into the design, so many movies are lazy with this kinda stuff today.

That's interesting. My brother actually did some minor CG work on the film last year incidentally.

Comment by The Fridge Raider on March 22, 2012 at 5:16pm @Dookie Mercury, I was just about to say that. It looks like this ship borrowed the same Engine Thrusters as well as Cargo Bay from the 03-K64 Firefly class ship. I wander if you could pull a Crazy Ivan in it while piloting it.
Comment by GODZILLA3000 on March 22, 2012 at 4:56pm "In all it's glory" yeah... the whole... back of it?
Comment by Dogson on March 22, 2012 at 4:53pm I was working on this during the last London Spill Party. It was so challenging not saying anything to Korey or anyone about it. I don't think the film even had a title yet back then. :)
The spacecraft was design by Ben Procter, same guy who designed all the human tech in Avatar, tons of Tron Legacy sets and lot of the props/characters from Transformers. Inspirational genius of an artist.
