Bay Slams Fox's Negative Comments

US Magazine recently heard from Transformers director Michael Bay, who responded to some negative comments that Megan Fox said about him and his latest film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
Bay responded, saying, "Well, that's Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it'."
As for the film itself, Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.
"Nic Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck. before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did Transformers -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys," he points out.
Bay also thinks Fox could be a little more grateful: "Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers. I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

Ben Affleck was a big star when he stared in Reindeer Games, Good Will Hunting and others
Nicholas Cage made it big with The Rock but he was in several films before that and was considered a good actor before The Rock.

Well, no shit this movie isn't about the acting, because if it was, we wouldn't need two and half hours of film where a large majority of it should have been on the cutting room floor. I'm not saying give Megan Fox the Nobel Prize, but she hit the nail on the head. And as for her biting the hand that feeds her, let me remind you the movie going public (her fans) made her name and face popular. Not Michael Bay.
And since I'm on the subject on "who made who," do I really need to bring it up?
Will Smith had a rap career and a highly rated sitcom on NBC.
Martin Lawrence was the poster boy for Def Comedy Jam, and star of a sitcom.
Nic Cage and Ben Affleck won Oscars for their roles in each of their films.
Shia Labeouf was on Even Stevens.
But of course, Bay himself didn't establish these individuals on his own. That was the job of we the fans. Those who watched the show, bought the merchandise, hung posters of them on the wall. And it's kind of insulting to them when Bay takes the credit for something he didn't fully do. Sure they starred in your movies, Bay: but we paid to see them.
So who's biting whose hands?

I think Bay forgot that Shia was a huge TV star. If it wasn't Transformers, it would've been something else.
I'm sorry... 23 years old isn't old enough? Yeah, it's kind of young, but I'm sure there are people much older than here who can agree with her. She didn't completely slam the movie, just telling the truth about it. It isn't about acting from what I've seen. The first one wasn't about that either.
