If it's crap... We'll tell you

Source: US Magazine

US Magazine recently heard from Transformers director Michael Bay, who responded to some negative comments that Megan Fox said about him and his latest film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Bay responded, saying, "Well, that's Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it'."

As for the film itself, Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.

"Nic Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck. before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did Transformers -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys," he points out.

Bay also thinks Fox could be a little more grateful: "Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers. I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

It's not just about biting the hand that feeds her, it's the way she said it that makes her incredibly disrespectful to someone she has worked with- I can't understand why anyone would defend that. This is not about how shitty Michael Bay's films are, and accusing people of defending Bay here as "fanboys" is just something done by the intellectually lazy.

And as I said before, it doesn't even look like these two quotes were in response to one another.

WoW, I don't think Michael Bay responded to Megan Fox's comments as much as he just threatened her career. Truth be told everybody knows Michael Bay films aren't about acting, except maybe The Island, and The Rock, other than that it's about explosions, breasts, sex and generally having the number one movie of the summer. Michael Bay didn't really disagree with her comments, he just basically said, she should be grateful that her gave her chance because of his track record, but let's go down the line.

Nicholas Cage picks horrible roles

Ben Affleck is a far better director than actor

Shia La Beouf is now known, but not exactly a movie star, not to mention he did Eagle Eye, and Disturbia as well, and we can go further back and talk about Even Stevens, Holes, The Greatest Game Ever Played, I Robot, Constantine, Shia can pick good roles, Bay didn't do that for him.

Will Smith was a star before Bad Boys, and let's be honest, his acting isn't that great, his best film recently was I am Legend, and even that was self serving. Even when he played ALi, he just played Will Smith with an accent, and Pursuit of Happyness, he was playing Will Smith out of shape and broke.

and Martin Lawrence's biggest movie was Bad Boys 2, his career success has more to do with the fact that black audiences love him, much like Tyler Perry, Morris Chestnut, or Taye Diggs.

Megan Fox can bite whatever hand that feeds her, because despite what she says, she's Megan Fox and audiences (male and female) love looking at her.

How is Fox biting the hand that feeds her? She said that "People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting". So unless there is a Oscar worthing acting performance than it is hard to see how she is biting Bay's Hand. This a summer action moive and Bay's films have always been action films and we all know action films usually have little to do with acting and everything to do with action.

Finally where did she personally attack Bay? I am not even a Fox fan but if we are going go after her, she needs to have done something.

To bite the hand that fed you means to be ungrateful to someone who helped you! I recently recommended a junior collegue for a job and she bad mouthed me as soon as she got it, so I totally understand where Bay is coming from.

Fox knew this was not an intelligent movie yet she did it anyway, like all the actors that Bay mentioned (except Lawrence) this was about a paycheck and making a positive step forwards in their careers. If Fox thought Transformers was so stupid, why did she do it?, simple, she wnted the money and the fame, but not the embarassment of running around in slow motion in and action film that's based on a toyline!

Fox didn't just BITE THE HAND THAT FED HER, she's also trying to HAVE HER CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!

" Not BITE THE HAND THAT FED HER" what kind of bullshit is this? Its like everyone is seeing her as Bay's dog. She has spoken her thoughts on the film. If Bay cant deal with people jumping off his boat, its his problem. Its amazing how many people are kissing Michael Bay's arse if some one speaks out.

although i didnt like the film, Megan Fox should not BITE THE HAND THAT FED HER. this moive made her career.

I'm not sure why people are taking this report as somehow the last straw for Bay being stupid or something- compared to a lot of the things he usually says he's actually being really reasonable here. It is a fact that he has helped some actors with their careers whether you like his films or not. Helping an actor's career is as simple as making their name and face known, and Michael Bay HAS done that with some actors.

Also one thing I'd like to note about this report is that we don't know how the question was phrased to Michael Bay. This is what annoys me about interviews sometimes- you don't include questions and you could've asked ANYTHING and spliced it together to make someone look like an asshole.

Transformers was not a good movie, but when you play a leading role in the movie it's kind of unprofessional to talk shit about the movie once it's done. I mean there were other ways Megan could have said it so its not so much like she's shitting on the movie. She could have said it's a fun movie, or it's a roller coaster ride, or she could have praised the special effects.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Megan Fox think she could talk about "acting"? And Michael Bay thinks his films help actors? Oh, this made my day.
