"Battle Royale" gets an official BlueRay release 03/20/2012
Hello Spillios.
I just heard news through Bloodydisgusting.com and Aintitcool.com that Anchor Bay Entertainment is finally releasing the contraversial classic "Battle Royale" on Blue Ray and DVD in North America 03/20/2012.
If you have not seen this movie or at least know what it's about. I have to weep for you a little because this is one seriously awesome flick. The premise of 42 students forced onto an island to kill off everyone may turns off some people but it's not as dark as you may think. Replace the students with escaped convicts or adults in their 30's and it would be a simple action film. But not nearly as effective. It has way more going for it than just having a bunch of kids kill eachother.
Anchor Bay has put together a good set of special features, but this is only going to be on the complete set. Yes that means owning a copy of the dreaded sequel "Battle Royale 2". Still not bad considering all the cool features you get.
