Band Slam Review

ok before i get any criticism, this is my first movie review i have ever made and so ill try to make it short and to the point, sorry.

well to start off, I stummpled across this movie cause one of my friends didnt go to the district 9 midnight premire with my buddy and I so I tried to return the ticket that morning for breakfest money, but insted went to the first showing of Band Slam only cause I had nothing to do that whole morning. For the next two hours that I endurd were well worth it with funny scenes, teenage angst, drama and a whole lot of david bowie and music information shoved into your face.

The movie starts off with a teenager named Will (Gaelan Connellwho) just moved to a new school to a have a fresh start than his previous campus of being a social outcast. Upon going there the whole town keeps braging on about Band Slam, a huge ripe off of american idol but with rock bands. Later he meets an sort of emo chick named Sa5m (Vannessa Hudgens) who befriends him and start liking each other. Meamwhile he becomes friends with Charlotte Banks (Alyson Michalka) who invites him into her band and soon joins Band Slam.

All the positives I have for this movie is that its a great teenge fun filled movie with alot of cool emotions many teenagers can relate too, Its cute in its own way and also has its own audiance but can still be enjoying to watch. Give it theres some dunb things in the movie that are so predictable and have a few characters you could swear you were watching a 80's teenage flick but it all works with the boundery of the film. Honestly I had a few laughs and never got annoyed or boreed with the movie and some of the songs in it are soo worth buying the soundtrack or downloading, give it they seem like songs you would here in the disney channel but there more like the indie or pop songs like in the Nick and Norah Infinite Playlist Soundtrack which is also great. This is a great movie to end your summer is your going back to high school or college and deserves more credit than it deserved
