We are understandably excited for Marvel's Phase 2. I mean come on, did you see 'The Avengers?!' The first movie due up in the post-'Avengers' slate is Shane Black's 'Iron Man 3.'We've seen some fuzzy and otherwise obscure images from the set before, but this one really does speak for its own greatness. It's the Patriot and Mark XLVII armors just standing there, side-by-side on the set. Take it in, fellow geeks, and let the speculations begin. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3rd, 2013.

Not sure how I feel about the new armor. Kinda reminds me of the Mark V from Iron Man 2 (suitcase armor). Hopefully they'll gloss it up in post.

The Iron Patriot armor is clearly just an easter egg for fans, but fan easter eggs have been taken too seriously and gone wrong before. Im just saying, the Iron Patriot armor shouldn't be in it for more than a couple scenes. But, it still looks cool. Like I said, it's nothing more than an easter egg. The Iron Patriot armor is gonna be worn by Rhodes, NOT Osborne.

As for the new Iron Man armor, I don't really care for it at all. I was hoping the suit introduced in "the Avengers" would be the final upgrade of his basic armor. I was just hoping that in this film, they would start intoducing his other armor for more "specific" uses. (like a space suit, heat resistant suit, Ice resistant suit) just to name a few. I wanted to see more of the "Hall of Armor" in this one, instead of just the same suit remade and slightly modified again and again. This new suit looks OK, I guess, just not what I wanted to see. But, I will still wait for the movie to come out before completely judging, and still looking forward to this. "Iron Man 1" is my personal favorite out of Phase 1 :)

@Halfrican, I could be wrong but im pretty sure that was a different armor. The color scheme is MUCH darker the one in Iron Man 1. Also, I thought that the armor we saw at the beginning of Iron man 2 was the same as the one before, just fixed and rebuilt. But, I could be wrong, not totally sure.

I would somehow turn off the sun and when it comes back on those armors would be gone :)

The colours look a little ridiculous!

I think the color inversion on the new Mark suit makes it super ugly.
