If it's crap... We'll tell you

Just saw this movie "Away We Go" and really enjoyed it! Great cast - John Krasinski (Jim "The Office"), Maya Rudolph (SNL), Catherine O'Hara, Jeff Daniels, Allison Janney, the list goes on.

Krasinski and Rudolph play Burt and Verona, a newly pregnant couple who are trying to find a place to call home. They travel throughout the country (and a stop in Montreal) visiting friends and family in an effort to find the place they will want to settle down. To say that the people they visit are "quirky" would be an understatement, but the journey was very entertaining.

I think my favorite leg of the journey was where they went to Montreal and met up with old friends who had what they considered "the perfect family". Melanie Lynsky (Rose "Two and a Half Men") and Chris Messina were awesome as the friends.

I really loved this movie - the leads were made for these roles. Director Sam Mendes has made some awesome movies - Revolutionary Road, Jarhead, Road to Perdition - and personally I think Away We go ranks right up there with them.

EXACTEMENT!!! A true "jem"!
(Tim Hortons (timbits!) & "meat pies" are really good too!)

Hey, Emma, maybe not as quirky, but still quite good is the movie "Julia & Julie"
Where Meryl Streep is Julia Child & Amy Adams is Julie Powell, who blogged
about cooking every recipe in Julia's famous cookbook (524 recipes in 365 days).
Co-stars Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada) & Jane Lynch (TV's "Glee") dir. by Nora Ephron.

Hey, Emma, My Wife & I LOVE this movie! They had me HOOKED when she slapped him out of bed for commenting on her "fruity" taste as being possibly linked to pregnancy. "While "cobbling" my way past angry Russian soldiers, to save Chechnyan Orphans..I still could NOT locate your vagina!" My favorite line is where she intices Burt to Canada, by what they put on their fries.. Gravy!
