Vitriowl joined Adam Collins's groupOK well i like to watch many different types of Asian films, but it is hard to find good movies to watch because main stream movie news and websites (that i found) don't really help you out. So to anyone out there that likes Asian films i will but out a list of three Asian films on blogs until i run out of titles.
First title: Crows Zero (Director: Takashi Miike)
Crows Zero: is about a young man named Genji Takaya who wants to show is father that he can and will take over the family business. In order to do that he most enroll into a high school named "Suzuran Boys High School". The students in that school from gangs to be king of the hill in Suzuran. No one has ever taken Suzuran, but one man (Tamao Serizawa) is making a push to be the first one to do so. Genji Takaya will find out that it takes more then power and fear to be king of Suzuran. Crows Zero is a funny, smart, action pack film that is a most see film period.
Second Title: The City of Violence (Director: Seung-wan Ryoo)
The City of Violence: is about a group of childhood friends that come home to mourn the pasting of there old friend, however two of the friends came to find their friends killer. the films starts off as old friends remembering the past and how things use to be. As the film moves on the two main characters find out that there is more to the killing of there friend then meets the eye. The clues come together that leads the main characters to a two against the world out look. The City of Violence is a action pack film with great fights scenes and a good detective story.
Third Title: Ip Man (Director: Wilson Yip)
Ip man: is a semi-biographical account of Ip Man (the teacher of Bruce Lee). It follows the life of Ip Man before and in the middle of the Japanese occupation of China. Ip Man see's the pain of his people and doesn't know how to help his people. After seeing one of his people killed in front of him Ip Man finds that no one man can change history, but one man can help to restore faith in people when there is no faith to be found. Ip Man is one of the greatest martial arts films to ever be made. The film is funny, heart warming, touching, and has amazing fight scenes. Overall it is a all round great film that is back up with a great original soundtrack.
