Animated Analysis - Top 8 Offensive Cartoons

Image
Me and Nootrac (my drawing from when I was 7 years old come to life) talk about animated films and TV shows, and give two separate opinions; one of someone thinking as a somewhat cynical adult, and one in the mindset of a child. I hope you enjoy it!

Ep. 3: 8 Most Offensive Cartoons

This week Stephan and Nootrac have suffered through some of the most offensive cartoons in the history of animation, and they now show you the worst of them.

Mel Blanc was a the author and designers of ALOT of WW2 propaganda. It's not surprising it showed up in his shorts.

Now that they made Spider-Man a black kid, what's offensive now?

Great video Stephan, and nice work with the animation!

Aside from these cartoons, have you been able to catch some of the Censored Eleven? To me, the most offensive one has to be "Clean Pastures"...yeah that was a ruthlessly terrible one

Ah, so you're a fellow Spillio. [And the Spill Noir guy....wow I don't keep up =|] I came across your other episodes the other day while cruising along blip.tv. You got some pretty good stuff going on here.

If I could make one suggestion, I'd say that you should go a bit more personal commentary when you're talking about the movies, especially when it comes to lists, rather than just go "Uh boy...just look for yourself", ya know? The jokes you put in are totally fine, but I'd like to hear more insight from ya about why you put stuff where you did and what not.

Other than that, I like it. Keep up the good work!

It's funny I remember seeing all these cartoons growing up with my friends and at the time never once considered anything they said racist, 25 years later and everyone starts getting offended by the terms used in these cartoons due to the fact we now consider these racist terms.

I'm not saying that people can't be offended by these cartoons because everything now days offends someone but for me growing up when most of these terms weren't considered racist I'm not really bothered by these cartoons, I really doubt during the time these cartoons were written that a lot of the stuff they said was considered racist.

although the episodes where they clearly were mimicking people of different cultures in a way that was clearly meant to be a jab at these other cultures really isn't funny and i never thought they were all that funny.

Wow, Bugs Bunny was a racist motherfucker.

How many racist cartoons did you have to sort through to find these?

@ChaosJumper: Oh, I saw The King and I when I was little. Trust me, I'm well aware.

Actually, right now I'm working on The Little Mermaid 2. It's shaping up to be a good one.

Also, from animation critic to the next, i would suggest you review the animated version of the King and I *Yes, there is a version of that, why are you surprised?* And it would be an interesting transition from this to that, there is a henchman that is a big Asian stereotype.
