Alien Vs Ninjas. (This is real, oh god why is this real?)
Oh aliens, is there anything you haven't fought? Here I was prepared to do an gritty man on the streets blog about hipsters. But no, I find myself writing about this.
Yes ladies in gents this is Alien vs Ninja! A movie where the aliens are so clearly a rip off of the aliens form the Aliens series that it isn't even funny. Phallic aliens aside. The movie is supposed to be a scifi action comedy, I could see this being good for the camp if it had tried to be serious, but just being dumb for the hell of it? Japan I used to think so highly of you.
I can't say I have high hopes when what the marketing could come up with for this movie is the word "seriously"? SERIOUSLY?!?!
-Sigh- Well like it or not this is real and it will be on dvd February 22, take a look at the trailer and judge for yourself.

this is on a bunch of folks worst of the year lists of asian films of 2010, just so you know.
Also to Shiro... I can't remember the last good Japanese movie I saw. The best they've been able to do for me from the last decade is palatable.

Since when did Ninjas Vs. anything become a bad thing. I'd watch Ninjas Vs. Geriatrics because it had ninjas in it.

Last time i checked the US wasn't full of real original ideas these days either. And one bad movie doesen't mean the recent movie lineup of the country Japan are all bad, when that is said i clearly see a bad idea just in the title alone.
