If it's crap... We'll tell you

1) What comics are you into?
To be honest, I'll give anything a shot. But I've found that I gravitate toward the big writers of the industry, Neil Gaiman, Allan Moore, Warren Ellis. This doesn't mean that those are the only authors I enjoy, its just I can almost be certain that anytime I pick up one of their books I'm going to find something really awesome inside.

2) What got you into comics?
a) As a kid, I was a huge fan of Batman: The Animated Series, the original 90's X-men cartoon, Superman: The Animated Series, the 90's Spider-man cartoon, and later on I loved Justice League and its ilk. b) My oldest brother had a decent collection of Marvel comics when I was growing up that I was able to thumb through every now and then.
c) I got back into comics during high school, my school library had a slowly growing collection of comic books and graphic novels in one corner. Because I was a regular of this section, I was asked by the librarian for suggestions on what to add to the collection, so I pretty much got to suggest anything I wanted to read.

3) What is your choice for best comic ever?
A loaded question, but one that every comic fan gets asked. Like I've said above, I love the works of most of the big name writers of the field and can probably find something from any one of them that would be a contender for the title. At the same time, I'm tempted to take the easy way out and just say Watchmen and call it a day. I won't though, because that is almost everyone's answer. Instead, I'll take another popular answer and say this, Neil Gaiman's Sandman series is FUCKING BRILLIANT. So there is my answer.

4) If you could choose one super power to have control of, what would you choose?
Super Speed. PERIOD.

5) What comics are you reading now?
Fables, Jack of Fables, Transmetropolitan, The Walking Dead, Kick-ass, and I'm waiting patiently for the next volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I also just finished Gotham Central.

All right, I'll say this upfront: I am afraid of Clint Eastwood. His face resembles the mummified version of Imhotep from The Mummy and he's most famous for portraying a gun-slinging badass, so whenever I see a picture of the man, I realize that the…
