Hello and welcome to the first Mini review, this will be just a short opinion on a game basically is it worth a damn or not. The game this week is Akai Katana Shin, in case you can’t tell this is completely Japanese. The game was actually made in 2011 by Rising Star games but it was made as an arcade game. The disk version didn’t come out until May of 2012 and all I can say; they have the nerve to charge full price or even forty dollars for this game they must be out of their damn minds. For those of you who don’t know this is a shooter game but like Aegis Wing is an arcade shooter. The difference is Aegis Wing made more sense, was longer, oh and most important it was free. This game almost gave me a fucking seizure how many damn colors and flashing lights there are in this game. It had less of a story than Pac Man one minute you’re fighting tanks and planes the next you are fighting some Anime person in a floating bubble. If you die you just press start and you are back there are no consequences for death or none I cared about. My last big problem with the game is a huge one, that it’s only 20 minutes long. I beat the game the entire game in 20 minutes. The replay is redoing the levels over and over. So basically I say the hell with this game, there are way better side scrolling shooters out there for a fraction of the price. Don’t even rent this this game. I give this a D-.
