I just saw an awesome movie. Game of Werewolves (Spanish title is Lobos De Arga the director was at the screening and expressed distaste for the English title.) is the Dead Alive of werewolf movies and its stars seemed like Spain's answer to Edgar Wright's Pegg/Frost comedies. Also it stars the cutest Jack Russel ever!!! If you thought The Artist's Uggie stole the show, just wait until you meet Vito! What a snuggable poochie.

With Cabin in the Woods earlier this year and now Game of Werewolves I'm seriously going to have to adjust my list of favorite horror movies.

This movie was accompanied by a short called "Bad Moon Rising." When I found a seat two Australian guys asked me if they could sit next to me. It turned out the one next to me was the directer of "Bad Moon Rising" which is essentially the opening scene of a feature he hopes to complete. I really didn't get a feel for the plot, but it was very professional looking and I can tell you the special effects were great, and better than Wolves of Arga. (both films used practical make-up effects for the wolves) When it was about to start I could hear them whispering to each other about how gitty they were to see their work on the big screen for the first time. It made me a bit jealous. You know, it made me want to feel that way. I've had my work screened in front of an audience, but you know, I want to move past the cheap looking videos I make, I want to be able to do pro-looking stuff like that and see it screened.

Anyway, Wolves of Arga - ***** BTS!
Bad Moon Rising - Good luck guys, I'd love to see the film completed.
