Out of love for the fans - NOT! WB moving ahead with JLA

Somebody at WB is thinking they have too much money so why not spend it on a project that everybody has proven to be skeptical about.

Apparentely they got George Miller to direct (the guy who did Happy Feet, and also the Mad Max series, weird combination) and they're pushing for the Kieran and Michelle Mulroney script. "They're working very hard to get it to happen, said one party close to the project. "But there are so many characters that it's complicate"

Of course it's bloody complicated. It's the goddamn Justice League. It's the freakin Holy Grail of comic book adaptations (besides Watchmen maybe).

So why am I against this?

1) According to the same source (Superhero Hype) the studio wants a superhero tentpole in 2009. Wow, superhero tentpole. And here I thought they might actually give a shit about fans and whatnot. Silly me.

2) Justice League has already had an animate incarnation. And a damn good one at that. That's right I'm talking about JLU... and the new Final Frontier. Whatever they do as a movie cannot possibly compete with the television series.

3) It's damn confusing to the general public and iritating to me, the fan! WB wants its cake and eat it too. They're simply trying to milk that Batman cow for all it's worth. Have a Batman franchise AND a Justice League Franchise with Batman in it, but a different one of course. Why not suckle at two Bat-tits?

4) This is wasted money. Pure and simple. I don't want a half assed cgi-ed version of the Justice League, not when I have the JLU. Why not focus that energy and those resources into a DC franchise that is actually neglected and has enormous potential. Like say a certain franchise involving guys in greent tights flying around in the galaxy that have matching jewlery. Get where I'm going with this?

Doubtfull. So far it looks like all the other superhero franchises (except for Batman) are taking a back seat to this JLA crap.

I say pffft to you DC fans and your "Justice League"!
Everybody knows that the marvel universe is more sexy and happy and....ok so really I don't care about DC or Marvel but is the Flash going to be in the movie? I like the Flash. Idk maybe they can make a good JLU movie.
