W, or as I like to call it Dubya, tells the worrisome tale of current president George W. Bush. And, that's really what's wrong with W. I don't need to see a movie chronicling events that I'm still in the process of living. In order to keep W. current, the filmmakers had to shoot the entire film in under 50 days. Although, they do what's best with the time given, the lack of structure and cinematography found in the final product really shows. All that being said, I ended up really enjoying this movie for it's acting if nothing else. Brolin does an incredible portraying Bust, but even more notable is Richard Dreyfus's performance as Dick Cheney. If Heath Ledger hadn't given such an astounding performance in The Dark Knight, I could have definitely seen Dreyfuss winning an Oscar this year. It's a good movie that with a bit more time spent, could have been great. An enjoyable time, but forgettable over all. An easy MATINEE.
